IS IT FATIGUE OR IMMUNE DYSFUNCTION?

Fatigue is different from drowsiness. In general, drowsiness is feeling the need to sleep. Fatigue is a lack of energy and motivation. Drowsiness and apathy (a feeling of not caring about what happens) can be symptoms of fatigue.  Fatigue can be a normal and important response to physical exertion, emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep.  However, it can also be a sign of a more serious mental or physical condition. When fatigue is not relieved by enough sleep, good nutrition, or a low-stress environment, it should be evaluated by a practitioner.

Dysfunction in your immune system can lead to an array of conditions such as Chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome (CFIDS), which is a multiple symptomatic disease that affects the immune and neurological systems. The pathophysiology of the syndrome is unclear, but the immune system is upregulated, or stimulated, and the levels of antibodies, especially immunoglobulin G, are increased.

Chronic fatigue immune dysfunction syndrome:
More Than Just Feeling Tired

Your immune system has a very sophisticated system for keeping you safe that leads it to identify all of the foreign substances that enter your body or that you come into contact with. If your immune system deems anything dangerous, it will produce antibodies to ward off the harmful intruders.

If You Are Experiencing Any of the Following:  Check YES or NO

  • Feeling of Tired or Fatigued, Exhaustion, Lethargic, Weary
  • Unexplained Weight Gain or Cold Intolerance
  • Recurrent Rashes or Hives, Light-Sensitivity
  • Difficulty Concentrating or Focusing
  • Frequent and Recurrent infections (Colds, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, Ear infections, Meningitis)
  • Whole Body Inflammation → Muscle and Joint Pain, Recurrent Headaches, Migraines
  • Digestive Health Issues, such as Cramping, Loss of Appetite, Nausea and Diarrhea
  • Mental Exertion (ME), Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM)
  • Sinus Infections, Swollen glands, Seasonal Allergies
  • Multiple Miscarriages or Blood Clots

If you checked “YES” to any of the above…the next question is:
HOW TO REVERSE IT?

What is my approach to reversing immune dysfunction/immunodeficiency?

My Approach Focuses on OVERALL HEALING:

  1. GET TO THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE SYMPTOMS
  2. Treat each person as an "Individual"
  3. Comprehensive evaluation of your DIET:  More than 80% of your immune system is in your gut.
  4. Educate patient on the  Negative Effects of Inflammatory Foods
  5. I then apply a Naturopathic Medicine approach to healing the gut.  MAKING A HEALTHY GUT IS A FOCAL POINT IF YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE OPTIMAL HEALTH.
  6. I check blood levels for various antibodies, micronutrient deficiency, metabolic panels and look for hidden dysfunctions or underlying infections.

KNOW THAT: Conventional medicine only offers treatment of the symptoms, not a real solution to the disease.
